All you need to know about Off Campus Housing

What is individual leasing?

The Grande leases by the Bed. This means that your student will sign their own individual lease and is only responsible for his or her portion of rent, unlike conventional housing.

What if my student doesn’t have roommates?

No roommates? No worries! We offer Roommate Matching! Each applicant will complete a Roommate Matching profile online and we will match them the best possible match to fit with current or incoming residents with similar needs and lifestyle.

What does fully furnished mean?

We have provided a complete furniture package for all our apartments which include bedroom, living room and dining room furniture PLUS a TV and tv stand in living room! Also, kitchen appliances such as refrigerator with ice maker, built in microwave, dishwasher, full oven range are also included, along with a full-size washer and dryer in unit! Your student will need to bring his or her own linens, shower curtain and any decorations as these are not provided.

What does the rent include? What is a Cap?

Rent will include power, water, cable, and internet. Standard pest control included, and NO utility deposits as required by conventional housing! Your student will have their own Private bedroom and Private bath.  What is a Cap? Cap is an allotted amount The Grande will provide towards electric in each unit, per person, $40 per person cap, any electric overages will be divided between your student and roommates. Overages can be paid with rent each month.

Renter’s Insurance

Renters Insurance will cover your students’ personal belongings and is required at move in. We require a liability coverage in the amount $100,000 public liability and $5,000 property damage.  If your student is covered under your Home Owners policy, a current copy of Parents policy will be accepted, or your student can obtain insurance from any company of their choice.

Reservation fees: Application fee of $50, Non-refundable Administrative fee of $100 and Security Deposit of $500* or Conditional Approval, with security deposit equivalent to two months’ rent.

 Resident Events- We offer monthly community Resident events to keep your student engaged, with college lifestyle in mind, yet offering the freedom of off campus living!

Security Features- Your student will have Electronic Key entry for unit door and their private bedroom. Community also has Camera Surveillance system.
